BOMB IN HIS POCKET.
SERIOUS AFFRAY IN ITALY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 7, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Nov. 5. Milan an astonishing affair during the Victory Day rejoicings in Verona. Several hundred young Nationalists, armed with revolvers, marched to the Town Hall to haul down the Socialist flag, and they were met by a Socialist mob, who were also armed. Firing commenced, and several on both sides were wounded. The affray ended by a brrnVb exploding in the pocket of Signor Scarabello, who was a member of Parliament, killing him and injuring several others, and wrecking a neighboring building. Waste paper baskets m~ the Town Hall were later found tilled with explosives.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
