SCHOONER MISSING.
RX VtOl'TE TO TIIR ISLANDS PASSENGERS ON HOARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night, The latest,news regarding the missing auxiliary schooner Jubilee is not reassuring. News was received in Auckland yesterday by wireless from 11, M.5. Veronica that the. schooner, which left Auckland on August 15 for Nine, had not reached that Island, and fears are entertained for the safety of the vessel and her crew and passenjflns, although it. is possible she may have met with trouble and have put into one of the outlvine Islands. ' 6 The Jubilee, which is under the command of Captain W. Champion, took a full cargo of general merchandise and several horses for Nine. After leaving Auckland she put into Rowan, where she remained for several days. Since then she has not been heard of. .She has a crew of nine and the following passengers 011 board: Mrs. Hallcr, Messrs Ilaller. Hcnd, Evans, and three natives, all of whom resided at Nine. 1 The schooner is owned by 1,. S. Maxwell, Limitci,!, and is a vessel of 10, i tons register. She is fitted with an oil engine. As it was in Julv tliat the Jubilee was ln*l at Nine, it is anticipated that the white residents there will he now almost entirely without European foods.
