TENANCY CASE.

HOUSING AN EMPLOYEE. At the New Plymouth Court on Monday, J. S. Fox, Okato (Mr. A. A. Bennett), proceeded against Frank Ansley f -Vlr. li. H. (,/uilliaui) for possession of a house at Okato. The position was that defendant was an employee of Fox, who, oil account of the difficulty of getting employees to go out to the country, had found it necessary to provide housing accommodation for employees. Defendant was engaged as manager of the bakery department of plaintiff's business, and was told that he would be provided with a house at a much reduced rent, but that if he left plaintiffs employment he would have to vacate the house. The employment of Ansley was terminated, but he had not vacated the house. He had sinee commenced a bakery business in Okato, in opposition to i'ox. .who hail engaged another baker, wiio was a married man with nine children, lor whom the house was required. Ansley was a married man with six children. During the luncheon adjournment, oilers of two places at Okato were made through the solicitors for plaintiff, and "hen this was intimated to the court, Mr. T. A. I!. Bailey. S.M., decided to adjourn the case for a week lo see jf defendant could arrange for the ocou : pancy of one of the houses referred'to.
