COMMITTEES APPOINTED. A meeting of the newly-elected general committee of the Taranaki Agricultural Society was I.eUl on Saturday, Mr. W. B. Grant (president) occupying the chair. It was decided that the following be added to the committee, in addition to .he fifteen names recommended by the uiiiual meeting:—C. W. Reubo, J. R. Rowlands, L. A. Nolan, W. Cole, .T. H. Allan, E. Cole, J. B. Mabiu, \. S. Frost, Roy Gilbert, E. Jackson, 11. iJtonox. and J. \V. J. Gardner. Sub-committees were appointed as follows: — Executive—Messrs. C. H. Hosking, A. P. Lister. C. Dobson, A. T. Moore, E. C. Staiilev, G. W. Browne, T. Smellie, L, Jackson, A. L. Davis, Z. T. Walked IT. Linn, N. W. Hill, A. E. Washer, H. Ward and J. Hurle, president and vicepresidents (ex-officio). Finance—Messrs. Grant, Sampson, Fairbrother, Washer, Nolan, Connett. Browne and Dobson. Grounds—Messrs. Grant, Sampson, Washer, Dobson. Hoskin, Walker and fairbrother. The president, two vice-presidents and Messrs. Browne and Moore were delegated to go into the matter of drafting rules for the working of the Society and report. 'The general coirmittee will meet on the first Saturday in the month, commencing in December. ,
