Madame Melba, who is singing at the Albert Hall to-morrow, Arthur Mason playing the organ, has been staying at Christiania, where she gave a concert on' behalf of the widows and orphans of Norwegian sailors torpedoed in the war. The concert realised 34,000 kronen. The Queen of Norway unexpectedly attended the rehearsal and decorated Madame with the Norwegian Order of .Merit.
