INDIAN AGITATORS.
NON-CO-OPERATION CAMPAIGN. GHANDI TOURS COUNTRY. London, Oct. IS. Ghandi and his brother, Ali, who are carrying out a triumphal tour of Central and Upper India, are due atl AmirKtwu' to-day. They addressed a crowded gathering at Luc-know on Saturday, when Ghandi again proposed self-government in a year if the people feared God and followed non-co-operation. , Hitherto the most conspicuous -success has been gained among the students of .Aligarh College, where the situation is described as grave, although the principal denied that any of thC| staff had adopted non-co-operation. The Nationalists are also greatly encouraged. Pandit M. 11. Malaviyn, ti member of. the Legislative Council, has expressed his intention of not standing for re-election to the Council and of supporting non-co-operation, which hitherto be lias steadfastly opposed. Meanwhile the results of the nominations for the elections at Bombay are being announced, from which it appears that most of the seats, including those in the Mahommedan electorates!, artlikely to be contested by three or more candidates, although there has been no Mahommedan nomination for the Council of State.
