AUSTRALIAN WOOL. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, Oct. 29. Ono hundred and fifty thousand bales of wool will be offered for sale in November throughout the Comomnwealth, 80,000 bales between Sydney and Brisbane and 70,000 in the other States. The Sydney sales will be from November 1 to 6; Adelaide, November 12 and 27; Melbourne, November 15 to 22; Albury, November 30. Owing to the In dustrial troubles, dates have not been fixed for Brisbane and Fremantle.—Ans.-Jf.Z. Cable Astn. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Oct. 29. With a view to encouraging the flai industry the Federal Government is guaranteeing growers £6 per ton for the 1921 crop. Hides are irregular, with a decline of 2d all round. Barley.—English, 7s to 7s 3d; Cape, 5s 9d to Cs. Oats.—Algerian, 3s to 3s 3d. Potatoes, £5 to £B. Onions, £lO.

The exchange difficulties arc affecting shipments to Australia from America similarly to British shipments. Considerable quantities of raw products, like resin, sulphur, and petroleum, are held up.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S CABLED REPORT. The Department of Apiculture has received the following cablegram, dated October 2! from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — "Meat.—Englisl' trade dull at average prices. Beef Is 3%d, mutton la 9d, lamb 2s pvr lb. Imported meat constitutes 75 per ctnt. of supplies offered in the markets. Argentine ehl.lled beef is In active demand at full price. Hinds Is, fores 8d per lb. Austiallan, best quality ox beef is selling at 10% d for hinds and 7'id for fores. Only New Zealand cow beef offered for sale at 9d and 5',4(1 per lb., hinds and fores respectively. New Zealand mutton and lamb continue in (retire demand at maximum prices. "Butter.—Average price is English £24 7a per cwt. (4s 4%d) per lb) ; Irish, very limited supply at £24 las to £25 10s per cwt (4s 5d to 4s 6%d per lb.), but high price is checking demand.
"Cheese.—Market is quiet for all descriptions. English up to £9 6s per cwt (Is 8d pnr lb); Canadian, white, £7 19s to £8 per ewt. (approx. Is !id per lb), colored up to Si 6s per cwt. (Is s&d per lb.); spot, c.U. quotations are lower, £7 I2s to £7 19s per crvt. (Is 4d to Is 5d per lb.); New Zealand is quoted at £7 15s to £7 16s per cwt. (approrimately Is 4?id per lb.), c.l.f market continues dull, only snail business lias been done. .1 grade Oiitober-Decomber shipment sold at £BS 10s pnr ton. Present quotations for shipments are: July-September and August-October £SO Ifs per ton; September-November and Oct-D,-cember £65 Ids per ton. New Zealand nurket is quiet with few buyers. Pair grade October-December shipment sold at £SB 10s per ton. Sellers' nresaut quotatl rts are: Hlgtpo'nts, spot, £56 1.0s; Oct.D'icember shipment, £55 10s; fair, £35 and P53 10s per ton respectively.

At the Add'ngton market to-day there was an increase in all sections of stock, notably boeF and store sheep. There was a slight ersins in values throughout to the extent ol about £1 a head for cattle, and 2s 6d for aM but the prlmest mutton.
