In the horse section lights predominated, and there was great competition in jumping". Mr. IT. JChvortky's Limestone was the best on the ground. There were good entries in cattle- and the (|uality was high. Championships were awarded as follows: Shorthorn bull, J. Mcßride; cow, C. Austin. Jersey hull and cow, B. H. Tripp. Ayrshire bull and cow. H. <;rant. Friesian bull, R. Stoddnrt, There was a large entry of draught horses, the chief prize-winners being: Entire and best walker, D. Hall's Scottish chief; mare, D. G. Wright.
