BRADFORD WOOL London, Oct. 25. The Bradford market Is stagnant and values are untested. Manchester Is again endeavouring to secure larger direct shipments of Australian wool. The Tecent revision of railway rates makes Manchester the cheapest port for Bradford, to which the present wool rate from Manchester ia 43s a ton. From Hull it Is 48s and from Liverpool 535. WEEKLY REPORT. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd (HaweTa) report for the week ending Oct. 23, W2o:—i At Kakaramea, on Monday, the largo entry of hulls advertised came forward, and practically all of these were disposed of at very satisfactory prices. We quote: Grade Jersey bulls to 30 gns., Holstein bulls to £lO, She. thorns to 18% gns., others at market value, springing heifers (good) £lB to £2l. On the same day, at Opuuake, dairy cattle and bulls were penned in large numbers. For the latter bidding was brisk only for Jerßey, but average prices ruled for other breeds. Mo3t of the dairy cattle were inferior sorts, however, we Quitted most of the yarding at satisfactory prices. We quote: Store pigs £2 2s to £2 13s, forward cows £8 Ss to £9 12s, stores £5 10s to £0 17s Od. empty heifers to £7 ss, yearling heifers £4 15s, steers £3 -4s, males £2 ss, pedigree Jersey bull 48 gns., yearling ditto 13 gns,, maid. Shorthorns to 1514 gns., Holsteins to .0 IDs, others at market value, springing heifers (good) to £lB, others £9 5s to £l4, second calvers to £2O 10s. On Tuesday, at Manaia, we quote: Store pigs (small) £2 Is, pedigree Jersey bull 45 gns., maiden grade 2-year Jerseys to 31 gns., others at market value. At Palmer Itoad, on Friday, we fad a good yarding, especially dairy cattle and bulls. The demand was only for Jersey hulls, and for the balance of other stoclt yarded good prices were obtained throughout. We quote: Small store pigs 28s, forward cows £8 las to £'J 4s, fresh conditioned ditto £6 5s to £.' ss, 2%-ytar steers £8 3s, empty heifer.; to £B, stag £6 12s, yearling heifers (good> £0 14s, Olivers to £4 15s, steers £3 ,"s, pedigree 5year Jersey bull 45 gns., others 14 gns. to 35 gns.. Shorthorns to 17 gns., Holsteins to 17 gns., others at market value, springing heifers (best) £lB to £25, others £l3 to £l7, cows (best) io £25.
