BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICES* NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER. AMENDMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO BY-LAWS. is hereby given that at a special meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council, held on the 4th day of October, 1920, it was resolved (by way of Special Order) that the New Plymouth Borough Council make additions and amendments to By-law 3 under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908." and under all other powers which enable the said Council to make and amend ByLawa the object and purport of which additions and amendments are as follows: ' BY-LAW 247: Defining "Licensed Motor Omnibus" Bye-Laws 309 and 310 to apply to Motor Omnibuses, By-Law 325 to apply to Motor Car or Motor Omnibus, and providing for licensing of stage carriages plying to any place beyond the Borough. ByLaws 336, 357, 359, 363, 364, 365, 366 and 367 by adding words referring to Motor Omnibuses. Second Schedule to Part 6 by increasing the license fee payable for a stage carriage and motor car license and affecting the licensing of certain vehicles when plying between places within and without the Borough and prescribing the license fees for Motor Omnibuses. By-Law 611, by deleting sub-clauses (2), (3) and (10), and substituting a provision for preventing the erection of a stable within 100 feet of a dwelling house or 20 feet of a street or boundary of adjoining premises. By-Law (612 A): New By-Law requiring all buildings used as stables after 31st March, 1921 r to have floors, etc., constructed in accordance with By-Law 611 (5) or By-Law 811 (6). By-Law 804: By substituting a new By-Law providing for connections from the sewer main to the boundary of property being done by the Council at the expense of the owner, who is to pay in respect of same the amount fixed by the Council. By-Law 1330: By substituting a new By-Law providing the sizes of communication pipes and laying of same at the cost of the consumer. By-Law 1333: To apply to streets with mains of leas than 3 inches. 1333 A: New By-Law to provide for a refund of part of the cost of laying a water main or communication pipes in certain cases. By-Law 1039: By substituting a new By-Law providing for the prevention of nuisances caused by keeping horses or cattle on land of less area than* 1 rood, or in any stable, and providing for the keeping and removal of soil, dung, and other manure produced or accumulated thereon or therein. 1039: New By-Law, authorising the Council to require the owner or occupier of land of less area than 1 rood whereon any horse or other beast of draught or burden is kept or permitted to be, to construct an impervious concrete or asphalt covering over such land, and to provide proper falls to channels connected with the sewers. By-Law 1158: A new By-Law making it an offence to enter upon, remain in passages, etc., of licensed premises after being requested not to do
■ The said resolution will be submitted for confirmation to a special meeting of ■the Council, to be held at the Council Chambers in Liardet Street, in the Town of New Plymouth, on Monday, the Ist day of November, 1920, at 7.30 o'clock p.m., at which meeting the day of the coming into force of the said additions and amendments to By-Laws will be fixed. A copy of the said Special Order and additions and amendments to Bye-Laws is deposited at the office of the Council in Liardet Street aforesaid, where the same will be open for public inspection during office hours until the said confirming meeting is held.
