On the al.lieation of his father, King Constantino, in 1017, he was chosen king. He recently married Mademoiselle Manos, the daughter of Colonel Manos, who was employed in thtv service of the Royal household, but as the marriage was not recognised, she was forced to live in Paris. King Alexander was bitten by a pet monkey, blood-poisoning intervened, and his death was not unexpected.]
