Sir George Poster, Minister of Trade and Commerce, made a statement that the Canadian Government was carefully watching the various wheat purchasing systems and marketing conditions In Canada and other countries. The Government was ready try take steps to assure l'alr marketing of Canadian wheat, should conditions warrant it.

Sir George Foster's statement was the result of the grain growers' plea for a resumption of Government control of wheat.—Aus.X.Z. Cable Assn.
