THE POSITION IN AMERICA. By Telefiiaiih. —Press AssnCopyright. Keceived Oct. 24, 5.5 p.m. New York, Oct. 23. The Boston Commercial Bittletin states that the demand for wool continues moderate, with prices but little changed, Choice Australian wools, bought largely bj America, are firmer sinee the opening of the 'Melbourne sales, although a /erage to inferior wools show a declining tendency, and withdrawals have been heavy. The woollen goods market is rather chaotic still, but the willingness of workers in the mills to accept cuts in of 13 to 20 per cent, in order to keep the milk running is one of the most hopeful signs of the moment.—* Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
