PEACE IN INDUSTRY.

ANOTHER SCHEME SUGGESTED, By Teleerasfc —Pro»» Asm --Copyright. Received Oct. 25, 12.10 a..m. London, Oct. 2-1. Lord Haldane, at the inaugural meeting of the Institute of Industrial Administration, said the workers object to the domination of capital, and we must substitute as a basic principle the notion that services are rendered in common with a view to ensuring success in industry with greatest output and profits. Profits, ha said, should be divided among those rendering services according to their merits. Capitalists are entitled to, and should receive interest commensurate with the risk run. Adequate salaries should be paid to managers and specialists, and a standard wage to workers, ertra profits to be divided accordiug to the services of each. He believed it possible to secure the workers' support.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
