The Rarawa arrived yesterday morning from Onehunga with passengers and 140 toi>s of general carso and about 00 sacks of su«ar for bee farmers, but none for ordinary consumption. She sailed on the return trip at 8.1:0 p.m. REGITLTJS, WITH COAL. The local agents for the Begulua advise that she Is expected here on Monday from Greymouth with about 500 tons of coal. S!:e wiii begin discharging on Tuesday (as Monday, being Labor Day. there will be no work on the wharf), and sails for Westport on Wednesday.

AIUPAYVA DUE TO-DAY. The local office of the Northern Company received advice yesterday that the Arapaiva was loading cement at Onelmnga for New Flymouth. She should arrive here to-morrow. TOFUA LEFT 'FRISCO. The Union Co.'s R.M.S. Tofua left. San Francisco on the 18th inst. for Wellington via Papeeto and Rarotonga. The- vessel is due at Wellington on November 10th. UNION COMPANY'S COSMOS. The Union Company's new steamer Cosmos Is to leave Newcastle to-day for Lyttelton and Oamaru. The vessel will subsequently go to Port Chalmers to undergo overhaul and for structural alterations. WAIWERA LEFT LONDON. Tie Shaw, Savill and Albion Co. have h:en notified by cable ilhat the Walwera let*. London on the 20th Inst, with general rArru for South African ports. After discharge the vessel will proceed in ballast to Australia, where she will bunker preparatory to coming to New Zealand to load. THE CANADIAN WINNER. MEAT FOR VANCOUVER. The agents for the Canadian Government cargo line of steamers, have been advised that the steamer Canadian Highlander, the first refrigerated vessel of that line to leave Vancouver for New Zealand and Australia, Is expected to sail from the Canadian port about November 15th., although she may be as much as six weeks later than tlat. The Canadian Highlander is to load frozen meat in Australasia for Vancouver.
