RAISING FUNDS IN AUCKLAND. By Telecraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 21. The Anglican Synod unanimously passed the following resolution: "This Synod considers that for the welfare and progress of the Church, it is essential that the formation of a diocese in Taranaki should be undertaken without further delay; that the Auckland Diocesan Committee be appointed to raise funds for this object from the people of the Auckland diocese, with power to appoint an organiser whose salary and other incidental [expenses shall be paid out of the money raised; and that the money so raised he paid over by the committee to the trustees of the Bishopric Fund."
