INCITING LAWLESSNESS.
PROSECUTION OF A NEWSPAPER. By Telegrauh.—Press Association. Wellington, last Night. In the House of Representatives today, replying to Mr. H. E. Holland (Buller), who asked if the Crey River Argus was""prosecuted for publishing correspondence inciting to lawlessness, why u. Wellington journal, publishing a letter just as provocative, had not been prosecuted, Mr. Massey said that if papers would publish such articles as the Grey River Argus was punishnd for publishing they must take the consequences. Mr. Holland: "What about the paper which has not been prosecuted ?" Mr. -Massey any paper committing an offence, no matter what its color, would be prosecuted. Mr. Holland: "Then why has it not been done?" Mr. Massey.- "I ain not sure that any offence !ms been committed. The police deal with all such matters." Mr. Holland: "You know (he system adopted towards Labor papers."
