AUOKLANDER APPOINTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association Wellington, Last Night, An appointment to < the Magistracy lias been offered to Mr. C. R. Or'r Walker, who has been a member of the Auckland Bar for some years. It is understood Mr. Walker has accepted th« oiler. , Mr. Walker commenced his career as a cadet in the Official Assignee's office in Auckland in 1891, and did duty in the Supreme Court there. In 1892 he was transferred to Wellington, and was connected with the. Supreme Court here for some years, holding different positions. On becoming a solicitor Mr. Walker resigned from the Justice 'Department and entered into the practice of his profession. He has had a long experience in Court work, especially in the Warden's Court in the mining districts.
