NOVEMBER 17 AND 18. Keen interest is being ovinced in the Wanganui Agricultural Association's annual Show, which will be held on the Racecourse on November 17th and 18th, and for which entries close with the secretary, Mr. F. G. Seddon, at the Association's office, King's Chambers (Maria Place) on Saturday, November 6. Schedules, with all information contained, may be had on application to the secretary. The cattle section . includes competitive classes for Shorthorns, Aberdeen Angus, Herefords, Friesians, Ayrshires, Jerseys, and milking Shorthorns. The sheep section includes classes for Lincolna, Corriedales, Ryelands, English Leicester-;. Border Leicesters, Romney Marsh, Southdowns, ShropshirV Downs, and farmers' classes.

Howes and pig classes are also well catered for. There will be the usual classes for fat sheep and fat cattle, and the special prizes which go with these classes, including the New Zealand Refrigerating Company's handsome challenge cups, should result in spirited competition. Home industries will be one of the big attractions, and there will be classes for returned soldiers, produce, cooking, schools, native classes, needlework, art' and technical and school classes. Weight-guessing and amateur judging will also be on the programme. The big attraction for the second day of Uic show—People's Day—'will be the ring events. The outstanding event is the West Coast Champion Hunters' Competition, carrying prizes of £l7O, £2O, and £lO. This liberal prize money should be the means of bringing the best hunters of the Dominion together. The Wanganui Canine Society's Show will be held in conjunction with the big ihow.
