He refuses to take lim» juice.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn, Received Oct. 19, 10.30 p.m. London, Oct. 18. McSwiney is visibly weakening and shows symptoms of scurvy. A specialist was called in. , McSwiney sent the following message to the relations of Fitzgerald: "No tears, but joy; he died for his country." Another Cork hunger-striker who has fasted for 70 days is reported to be in a precarious state. —Times Service. THE DEAD HUNGER STRIKER. PRISON MARRIAGE NOT ALLOWED. Received Oct. 19, 7.20 p.m. London, Oct. 18. Fitzgerald, the dead hunger striker, was engaged, and his sweetheart endeavoured to have the marriage ceremony performed in prison a week ago, but the authorities negatived this.
