REFUNDS OF PASSAGE MONEY. By Telegraph.—>>*oss Association. Wellington, Last Night. Army order 275 of 1918, which authorised refunds of passage money for those who proceeded from abroad after the declaration of war and joined the British Army, has been extended. Claims will be allowed up to December 31, 1920, inclusive, for the following special categories who were unable to submit their claims before September 1, 1919: (a) Those who were actually engaged in military operations in distant parts of the world in places other than France, Belgium, or the area of the/Rhine army. (b) Those who were incapacitated by wounds or illness contracted on active service. (c) Those who were killed in action or died from the result of wounds, or illness contracted during their service. In this case application should be made by or on behalf of the nearest relative. Claims other than those specified will not be considered. Each claim must be accompanied by a full statement of the reason which prevented submission before September 1, 1919. Claims will be considered on their merits, provided that they come within the above categories, and are supported by particulars regarding (late of sailing from abroad, date of arrival in United Kingdom, date of enlistment, etc. Full regimental particulars (rank, regimental number, and last regiment) of applicant should be stated. All claims must be submitted to the War Office, or to the recognised ml''tary authority, on or before December 31, 1920, No extension of this date will be allowed.
