LAWN TENNIS.

PARK CLUB. * ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Park Tennis and Croquet Club was held Inst evening, when there was an attendance of about thirty members. In the absence of the president (Mr. A Ainbury), Mr. A. Dlprose presided. The reports regarding the past year's working showed that a good season had been experienced. For the first, time in the history oi: the Club finances showed a credit balaucee (.66), and members expressed pleasure at the satisfactory results achieved. For the coming year a successful season is anticipated, and the courts nre well forward. Tte following officers were elected: President, Mr. A. Anibury (re-ejlected); vicepresidents, Messrs. J. Scanlan, \Y. A. Ci'llis, \Y. Ambur.v, F. W. Sandford, Bosworth, senr., J. Corrigal, and Mrs.' \V. IliH; trustees for Pukekura Tark Board, Messrs. T. C. List, Sranlnn and Sandford; secretary. Mr. A. Knapp (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. P. Shearer; committee, Messrs. Bosworth, Hobson, Diprose, Shlpton; Mesdames Honnor, McGahoy, Diprose, and Miss Dell; ground committee, Mesrss. Bosworth, Shlpton, and Brooker; club ciptnln, Mr. L. Bosworth. The opening day was fixed for October 30. It was decided to join the Lawn Tennis Association, and Mr. R. H.' Shlpton was appointed delegate. Subscriptions were fixed the. same as last year, namely £2 r»s, ladies £1 10s, reducible by 5s if paid by December.

NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The New Plymouth Tennis Club has now six courts, the pavilion having been removed during the winter to enable extensive alterations to be carried out, and prospects for the season are bright. A match with Hawera Is being arranged for at the end of November or early in December. The annual meeting of the club is to be held on Saturday night at the Soldiers' Club, and a*ful! attendance of members is looked for to adrance the interests of a popular sport.
