TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. In the Affiliated tub's Billiard and Snooker Challenge Shield iouraament, the Stratford Club met the New Flymouth Club it New Plymouth last night. The results of the matches were as follows, Stratford rflayens being mentioned first: — Billiards.—Chadwlck (191) lost to Higgs (200) ; Bridger (111) lost to Bertraim (200) ; Brooking (200) beat Fitzgerald (179) ; Hlgnett (200) beat Preece (152). Snooker.—Rutherford (102) heat Allen (70) ; Sullivan (103) beat Inder (93) ; Petrie (111) heat Smart (00) ; Lawsou (59) lost to Bennett (91).
