CARGO FROM SOUTH.
POET TO BE BUSY TO-DAY. A welcome shipment of merchandise for Taranaki from South Island ports and Wellington reached New Plymouth yesterday in the Flora, which berthed at 1.30 p.m. The Flora brought a large cargo totalling 1100 tons, and this included goods which had been delayed at Wellington owing lo the Rosamond being diverted from New Plymouth. The Horn brought transhipments ex f.eitrim, Port Sydney, Otira, Ayrshire, and Athenic (from the United Kingdom), City of Corinth (from New York), and Moana (from Australia). The Flora was the only steamer in port yesterday, but three arrivals are expected to-day, llie Karawa (from Cmelumga), the Inga (from Sydney), and l lie (from Wostport): The Kowliai brings coal. The Shaw, Savill liner Manuiri is expected "to leave Wellington for New Plymouth to-morrow, arriving here on Sunday. The Mamari, which is a vessel of 8114 tons, is in command of Captain Summon, and she brings direct shipments from England to Taranaki.
