' By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrißht. The King sent a message wishing good luck to the Cope expedition. The soldier charged with damaging the picture "The Light of the World" said he did it fo draw attention to a grievance over his pension since he was invalided out of the army. The British Government has offered to purchase direct the United States Company's cable. The directors recommend shareholders to accept the offer, which will permit the payment of at lonfit. £fl oer share.
