LIQUOR IN SCOTLAND.

MOVE TO UPSET THE POLL. Bj Telejrnph Press Assn.—CopynclH. Received Oct. 12_ 7.35 p.m. London, Oct. 11. Tho prohibition campaign in Glasgow has taken an interesting turn through a solicitor questioning the validity of the procedure, on the ground that the requisitions demanding a poll, lodged before September 1, were void, as the date of lodgment was fixed as September 30. It is further contended that all requisitions for the thirty-seven wards were not applied for by the electors in the area. The solicitor intends to take legal action. The authorities declare that the requisitions are in proper order. The Glasgow Herald ridicules the objection raised, vhich is purely technical. Similar objections have been raised in other areas .—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
