Eldcllr'e was spirited for super ortniuings, but crossbred? were unsaleable, gteasies realising 31% d, FARMERS' CO-OP. REPORT. The Farmers' Co-operative Organisation Society of New Zealand, Limited, report as follows for week ending October 9th, 1920: At Okaiitwu yards on Mor.'day, 4th October, we held our usual sale. There' was not a large yarding. Forward and store cows sold well, also dairy heifers of quality. Good conditioned cows £9 14s to £lO, lighter do. £7 2s Cd to £B, boners £4, yearling heifers Holsteins £5 18$, yearling steers £3 2s, dairy heifers £ls 10s, £l7 10s, £lB 53, according to quality, smaller or backward sorts £9 to £l2 10s. AtUltham yards on Wednesday wo report a good sale, cows and store rattle coming forward well. Fat and forward cows sold at late rates, empty heifers to £!>, yearling Jersey heifers to £ll, otters £4 10s to £5. In the dairy pens, springing heifers showing up well and of good quality mo! good sale. At Hawera, yards mi Thursday we report a full yarding or all classes of stock. In dairy pet.s competition was keen and cattle well forward met with good demand. We quote: Pal wethers £2 ss, forward cows to £1:! ss, fresh, conditioned do. £S to £SI fis, store do. £5 lfig to £ll 10s, empty Jersey heifers £ll 10s to £l2 12s (id, yearling heifers (best sorts) £5 5s to £7 ss, others £3 15s to £4 10s, best dairy cows £.'1.1. others at late ratesl dairy heifers, best sorts, close, up, to £29? others, £54 to £lO 10s; later and more backward sorts to £U. On Friday, Bth Inst., wo held our annual bull fair lr.' the Hawera yards. In all over 100 hulls were yarded, and with the exception of a few pens all were sold under tte hammer. I'edlgreo Jersey hulls to 30 guineas, Jersey grade bulls to 20 guineas, others at late rates. - At Wnveriey on Friilsy we had a good yarding of cattle, and though eiwnpetition was not keen, practically everything was sold. Hoggets £1 4s to £1 5s Od. fat heifers £ll to £lO 12s Od, forward cows £9 12s Od, fair conditioned do. £7 5s to £B, lighter sorts £0 10s to £0 18s, 2-year steers £ll Bs, yearling do. £2 10s, £3 10s, yearling heifers £4 to £O, dairy cows to £2O, dairy heifers £l2 10s ; £l.l, £ls to £2O, according to quality.
