The Sydi.ey colt Orion led Into the straight, bul wps beaten in the last fifty yards by Sefton, who ran very truly. Seflon, who is owned by Messrs. J. M. Niall and Norman Falkirer, established a Victorian record of for half a mile. The much funded ouster Olive was never dangerous, and finished sixth. Eurythnjie was a pronounced favorite for tho Caulfleld Stakes, and #on very easily from its stabie-imate Tangitlooma. 'J'to lime was half a second outside the raco rccCTd. heid by Traquclte. Prank Dempsey rode Uurythmie, and thus completed a treble success, as he piloted tho two previous afternoon'? winners in Miss Pinkerton in the Welter and Sefton in the Debutante Stakes. Results: — DEBUTANTE STAKES.—Seftou 8.0 1. Orion 8.0 2, Canterbury 8.0 3. Sixteen started. Too Cool and "Stare led in the early stages. Orion took charge at tho end of a furlong, and was first luto the straight. Sefton, on the outside, came fast and won by threequarters of a length, the third hffrse half a length away. Shepherd Queen was fourth. Time, sec. CAULFIELD STAKES.—Eurylhmlc 0.0 1, TangnlGoma 8.11 2, Quceu Comedy 8.12 3. Sii started. Lute Player led easily, but EuryIhmic took charge at tho home turn and won easily by two lengths, Queen Comedy was a length away. Clever Jim was fourth, and Ethiopian fifth. Ttme, 1.54%. CAULFIELD GUINEAS.—MidiIIi 8.0 (G. Harrison) 1, Double Bozique 8.5 2, Etlevo 8.0 3. Fifteen started. Refraction was the first lo break the line, Then Etieve went to the front, aud was joii.ed by Fitzarlington at the half mile. Etieve was the first into the Straight from Crimson, FitzarJl'ngtou, Mldiili, and Double Bezique. A great race saw .Mithlli win by a neck from Double Bezique, on the extreme outside.
