POLES GETTING PEACE.
FURTHER PROGRESS MADE. By Teleerapli.—Press Assn.—Copyrl|;bt. Received Oct. 10, G. 5 p.m. Riga, Oct. 0. Lengthy discussions occurred between the Polish and Russian delegations. Joffe endeavored to prolong the conference by proposing a conference on the frontier question, but the Poles were firm, and Joffe finally accepted their proposal. Some reports state that a protocol has been signed, but others say the arrangement made is merely for a truce, aiid is not peace.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
