THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS.
ARGENTINA'S POSITION. By Telesi»Pb~--Press Assn.—CopyrisW. Received Oct. 10, 5.5 p.ta. Buenos Ayres, Oct. 0. Senor Pueyrredon, Foreign Minister, delegation which sailed to attend the Geneva Conference of the League of Nations, promised the Senate that any engagements which Argentina tontracts will be subject to the approval of the Argentine Congress. The President (Senor Irigoyen) had not consulted the Senate regarding Argentina's adhesion to the League of Nations, and the Senate resented this, and the only condition on which it would agree to Senor Pueyrredon's appointment was that it should be consulted concerning future engagements.—Aus.-N.Z.
