THE: SEPTEMBER RETURNS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 8. The Board of Trade returns show the value of imports into Britain during September, which totalled £152,692,339 sterling, an increase of £4,103,787 over September of last year. The exports of British products amounted to £117,455,913, an increase of £50,955,235. Re-exports of foreign and colonial products were £13,350,008, a decrease of £2,398,070. The principal increases in the imports were: Grain and flour £13,225,725; manufactured oils, fats and resins £3,980,683; while the chief decreases were: Raw cotton £7,225,283; raw oil, seeds, nuts, etc., £7,836,189; leather and manufacture thereof, £3,760,124; meat, £3,632,691. The increases in exports were:' Cotton yarns and manufactures thereof, £19,919,654; vehicles (including locomotives, ships and aircraft) £668,059; iron, steel and the manufactures thereof, £5,439,273; woollen worsted, yarns, and manufactures thereof, £3,627,614. —Aus.-N.Z.
