AIR FLIGHTS.
MONT BLANC CROSSED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright Paris, Oct. 8. A Swiss aviator, Pillichody, crossed a shoulder of Mt. Blanc at a height of 13,000 feet in a 250 horse-power biplane, with two passengers. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. St. John (Nova Scotia), Oct. 8. Two Canadians who "hopped off" for a flight from Halifax to Vancouver, crashed shortly afterwards. The machine was wrecked, but the fliers were not in-jured.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. ATLANTIC AIR LINERS. THE PROPOSED FARES. London, Oct. 8. The first of two commercial Zeppelins is to be ready for a flight across the Atlantic early in the new year. They are described as air liners, capable of carrying 500 persons. The initial fares are expected to range from £IOO to £l5O, but later it is expected they will be lowered to £6O. The Zeppelin Company expresses the opinion that a big air liner, with reasonable pa/tronage, should not demand a fare much in excess of the first class steamship' rate. Furthermore, the flight from London to New York should average 48 hours.—Reuter Service.
