REMARKABLE WORK BY FIREMEN. By Telerraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrljht. New York, Oct. 8. A verified account of the explosion on the tanker Crowe shows that five were killed, six seriously injured, and forty slightly injured. There was a terrific explosion of oil vapors in the hold. Several hundred workers who wer» engaged on repairs to the Crowe were imperilled, and six large steamers lying near by were endangered.
