Values all round showed an advance. particularly for beef, which sold In some cases at about £4 per 100lb. Store Sheep.—An Improved yarding, both in quality and numbers. There was at. l advance in values, particularly for finer-wooled sheep allowing quality and condition, and for ewe hoggets. Two and four-tooth wethers 3<ls; ordinary 4 ai.d 6-tooth wethers, 35s to 30s 2d; good 4, 0, 8-tooth wethers, 3us 7d to 37s lOd; agod low-conditioned ewes and lambs (all counted). Fat Sheep.—An overage yarding, which was of particularly good quality. The scarcity of beef caused a rise equal to abdut 2s 6d per head. Extra prime wethers, 50s to 90s; prime wethers, 47s 6d to 55s fid; medium wethers, 43s to 475; light and unfinished wethers, 33s to 41s 9d; shorn wethers. Ills 6d to 35s 6d;; extra prime ewes, 41s 6d to 465; medium ewes, 32s fld to 40s Od; light, inferior ewes, 32s 9d to 40s Od; light, Inferior owes, 2Ss to 31s 6d; hoggets, 2fls 6d to 445; spring lambs (20 forward), 30s 6d to 445. Fat Cattle—A yarding of some 180 lead, tho smallest for some time, and much lielow butchers' weekly requirements. Values jumped substantially as a result, and prime beef was quito 60s to 70s in advance of last week's rates, Extra prime steers, £35 15s to £4O; prime steers, £2S 10s to £35; medium steers, £23 10s to £27; light and unfinished steers, £l7 to £22 10s; prime lie 1fers, £l9 to £23; ordinary heifers, £ls to £l7 10s; light and unfinished, £lO 12s 6d to .£l4; extra prime cows, £25 7s 6d; prime cows £l9 15s to £23; ordinary cows, £ls 15s to £l9; light and unfinished, £lO 10s to £l4 10s. Vealers.—Runners brought to £9 10s, good vealers to £7 15s, medium calves to £4 2s 6d. Store, Cattle.—A poor quality yarding, which met with a weak demand.
