ALLEGED SUPPRESSION OF A FILM. Was it correct, asked Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central) of the Minister for Internal Affairs in the House of Representatives, that a picture film, entitled "Cheating the Public," which had wen exhibited in Wellington and other centres, and reached Blackball and ww exhibited-there, and was being sent on to Greymouth, had been stopped, We department prohibiting its exhibition! It was alleged in the Greymouth newspapers, added the hon, member, that tie New Zealand manager of the Fox Film Company, Wellington, had wired to Greymouth: "Minister for Internal Affairs gives instructions 'Cheating Publio' feature must be withdrawn from exhibition on account of ehowng up profiteering." "Was there," asked Mr. Fraser, "any truth in that statement!*' The Eton. G. J. Anderson asked Mm to put the question on the Order Paper.
