PRICE OF BUTTER.
NO DECISION TILL NEXT WEEK. By T«legrai/u.—Press Association, Wellington, Last Night. Replying to Mr. G. W. Forbes (Humnui) in the House of Representatives, Mr. J. A. Nash (chairman of the Butter Price Committee) said he did not expect that the Butter Committee would ho able to report before Tuesday next. The delay was caused through witnesses not having returned copies of the evidence sent them in accordance with standing ordeis. Replying to Dr, H. T. Thaoker (Christchurch East), Mr. Massey said, in regard to the price of butter, that all last season's butter must be sold at Is !)d per lb. He did not think there was much of that class of • butter in store. The new season's supplies were coming in, and as soon as the Butter Committee reported the Government will be able to make an announcement as to the future price.
