MUHIOIPAII CHAMBEKS DESTROYED By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Foston, Oct. i, The municipal chambers were totally destroyed by fire, which started in the caretaker's quarters about 9.30 last night. The council records were saved, but the contents of the publio library and "reading room were totally destroyed. The contents of the Harbor Board's office and of the gas show-room were salvaged. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The caretaker was not on the premises when the outbreak occurred. The building and contents were insured in the State office for £1025.
