Tho hours of work were fixed at 48 per week, and wages as follows; First year 20s, second 255, third fourth 40s, fifth 525, thereafter 80s, men of 25 with five years' experience £4 4s. Women: First year 20s, second 255, third 30s, fourth 355, fifth 40s, thereafter 60s. Bonuses are to be paid until the Court orders (Otherwise. The holders of matriculation or a Senior Civil Service pass are to receive 5s additional, and holders of a pass certificate in commercial accountancy a further ss. The term of the award was fixed for two years. The Timaru newspaper offices were excluded from the agreement.
