WHAT ARE THEY FOR?
JAPAN BUYS DIESEL MOTORS. By Telegraph.—Pros* Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 3, 5.5 p.m. New York, Oct. 2. According to a message from Berlin, it is reported that Japan is buying from Germany over a dozen Diesel motors of two thousand horsepower. They are ostensibly stationary engines, but are essentially of the type used in German submarines, and are easily convertible. No information is obtainable from the Diesel Company.—Aus.-N.Z.
