THE PUKEMERO TROUBLE OWNERS' REQUEST AS TO PUMPING By Telegraph.—Press Association, , Wellington, Oct. 2. In connection with, the Fukemiro jnln. ing trouble, the executive of the Mine Owners' Association has made the following offer to the Miners' Federation: "That the federation and the local union , should give an undertaking iq writing, to bp embodied in a supplementary agreement, that, in the event of any dkpute or stoppage of work in the mine, the engineers will not on any pretest whatever, refuse to perform any duties necessary in connection with .pumping operations or the ventilation of the mines.
