SOLDIERS' ORPHANS.
EMIGRANTS FOR AUSTRALIA. London, Sept. 3Despite the Pensions Department's unhelpful attitude, the Agent-General for West Australia, Mr. J, D. Connolly,' is persisting with his scheme to send out the pensioned orphans of Imperial soldiers, aged from !) to 14. The Zealandic will embark 2m), and Mr. Connolly states thnt 8000 orphans without guardians are available in the United Kingdom. He is also seeking in the provinces a number of former soldiers' daughters between the ages of 15 and 18, and boys from 14 to 17. He hopes to send 250 , to Australia by th» Zsalwiiie.
