' AMBUSH OF POLICEMEN. v By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London. Sept. 30. Sinn Feiners fired oh a police patrol at O'Brien's Bridge (Limerick), killing two constables. Another patrol was ambushed at Templemore. One constable was killed, one was wounded and one is missing. Armed and masked men raided two steamers berthed at Northwall (Dublin) and took rifles, revolvers, and am-munition.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. "BEWARE OF THE REPRISALS." London, Sept. 29. Notices have been posted in Drogheda as follows: Beware I If a policeman is shot here five Sinn Feiners will be shot. It is not coercion: it is an eye for an eye. We arc not drink-maddened savages; we are not out for loot; we are not 'offensive to women; we are as humane as other Christians, but we have restrained ourselves too long. Are we to lie down while our comrades are being shot by the corner boxes and ragamuffins of Ireland? We say 'Nevsr,' and all inquiries in the world will not stop our desire for revenge. Stop shooting the police, or we will lay low every house that smells of Sinn Fein. Remember Balbriggan."—Reuter.
