DEFENCE OF THE LEAGUE. By Telegraph.—Presn Assn.—Copyright. Received -Sept. 30, 11.5 p.m. Washington, Sept. 29. President Wilson intends taking an active part in the last month of the Presdential campaign by issuing statements regarding various phases of the League of Nations. The first document is in answer to Mr. E. M. Swartz, df Los Angelos, who asked, if the covenant is ratified with article ten amended, would the United States be bound to support England in the subjection of Ireland.
