Coatea stored tke second reading of the Electric Power .Boards Amendment Bill. * ' He said the Bill the outcome of a recent conference, and the majority the clauses were of a machinery nature. . It was hoped they would greatly facilitate the working of big electrical schemes. Mr. J. P. Luke (Wellington North) condemned the Bill, as it .tended to eon> plicate local government by the creation of a' new body which would overlap the functions of existing bodies. If the four main cities were exempt, mitten would be improved, but the Bill M it stood would result in great confusion. The Bill was read a second time on the voices.
