WORK OF RENOVATION. mm*. ■ Very extensive worjc is being carried out at the New Plymouth Municipal Saltwater Baths in preparation for the rosning season, and the baths aie now open. Besides the painting of the fide? and bottom of the swimming pool, the renovation of all the dressing boxes lias been completed. The roofing iron ha? been mostly renewed, and in the interior various matters have been attended to which should wake for the comfort of patrons. The private hot saltwater baths have also been attended ;o, and everything looks in spick and span order.* The whole pranises have been repainted, and alterations have bean carried out in the main building in regard to the tea-rooms and shop. About two days will complete the only work remaining, providing favorable* weather is experienced. After the big spring cleaning which has been s'oing on, the season will be started under favorable conditions as far as the property is concerned. It is some years since renovation Ims been made, and on this occasion it will be a very complete one. The operations have been under the supervision of Borough Inspector Bay. The erosion of the ,«ea which threatened the concrete walk in the front of the building has been met by the erection of a boulder wall, which work has just been completed at a co3t'of between £SO and ifiO. '
