MAILS COMING.
TWO FROM AUSTRALIA. Two steamers from Australia with mails were due in Wellington late last night. As the steamers -would, not be~r.li until this morning, it is probable the Taranuki [ ortions of the mails will not be despatched until this afternoon, • arriving here to-morrow afternoon. The Moena, from Sydney, has 125 Lags of Australian mails and 45 >a*es of parcels. iShe is also bringing a small American mail. The Westralia, from Melbourne, has IS bags of mail and nine bags of parcels (all Australian). The postal authorities have been advised that the Marama, which sailed from San Francisco on September 14 for Wellington, carries i)6B parcel receptacles and two bags of letters for New Zealand. -No advice has been received as to whether the Port Pirie (due at New Plymouth to-morrow from Sydney direct) has; a mail. The Corinthic, due at Wellington from Southampton next Sunday, is bringing ii large English mail for New Zealand. The Niagara, which sailed from Vancouver on Saturday for Auckland via ports, is bringing mails from the United Kingdom, Canada, and United States. She is due at Auckland about October 0.
