BAY OF PLENTY SEAT. By Telesrupb.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 18. "The writ for the Bay of Plenty byelection was issued on Thursday, and the roll was closed on Thursday night. The election will be held on September 30.

MR. LYSNAR LIBERAL CANDIDATE.

Wellington, Sept. 18.

The leader of the Liberal Party announced to-day that Mr. Fred. Lysnar, chairman of the Gisborne Harbor Board, ex-chairman of the Cook County Council, and a strong supporter of Sir James Carroll and the late Hon. W. D. S. Mac Donald throughout the whole of their political careers, has been selected as the Liberal candidate for the Bay of Plenty by-election. Mr, Lysnar is a brother of the present member of the same name.
