EMPIRE PROBLEMS.
QUESTION OF NEST CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 10, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 18. The Hon. Richard Squires, Prime Minister of Newfoundland, is visiting London. Interviewed, he stated he was disappointed at the holding of the Imperial Conference in Canada, as he preferred London. He had not heard of the report of the Canadian Government's proposal to' postpone the conference until 1922 to enable the Dominion Parliaments to discuss inter-Imperial constitutional proposals before their submission to the conference. He preferred that the Prime Ministers should meet W formulate their proposals before submission to their Parliaments.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
