NEW BILL OPPOSED. By Telegraph —Pres-i Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Native Trustee Bill was read a second time, and referred to the Native Affairs Committee The Council agreed to the amendment made by the House to the Licensing Amendment Bill. The War Regulations Continuance Bill, after being amended in the direction indicated by Sir Francis Bell (Leader of the Council) in the second reading, was put through its final stages and passed. The Immigration Restriction Amendment Bill was received from the House and read a first time. The Council rose at 3.7 p.m.
