The tramways manager reports: "The traffic for the month has been very good, and at certain times more than the available curs could handle, and it was necessary to divert the Morley Street car to the main routes. The main cause for this was that one of the cars was out of traffic for overhaul, and another, due to damage sustained in a" collision, had to be taken out of traffic whilst temporary -repairs were eftected, Except for the above, the service has been maintained as per time-table. The overhauling of two large cars has been completed, and they are again in traffic. This work has taken longer than on previous occasions, and the replacements have been much more numerous. A start lias been made with the remainder of the cars and Is proceeding satisfactorily."
